1) ENT experience after foundation (to 5 Aug 2026)

  • Count post-foundation ENT time up to 5 Aug 2026 (or 7 Oct 2026 for core schemes ending Oct 2026).
  • Include training and non-training jobs; for locums, use actual dated stints.
  • 60% LTFT equivalents apply; >48 months scores 0 (over-exposure).

2) Highest postgraduate qualification

  • PhD/MD (research): supervised original research (≈2–3y FT).
  • Masters (MSc/MA/MRes/MPhil/MCh): ≥8 months FTE, not primarily clinical training.
  • PGDip/PGCert in education/health, typically taught with smaller dissertation.
  • Exclude basic medical degree MD; intercalated degrees don’t count.

3) Publication 1

  • Provide full PubMed citation with PMID. “Formally accepted” counts.
  • Score by Impact Factor (IF) band; abstracts/letters excluded.
  • Book chapters must have an ISBN (not self-published).

5) Collaborative research

  • Must be a recognised collaborative (e.g., INTEGRATE or similar).

  • Two-cycle QI required for 1–2 pts; leadership = design + lead delivery + supervise others.
  • Provide signed audit form (or supervisor email) and evidence of presentation.

11) Nose procedures

  • e.g., nasal polypectomy, septoplasty, FESS, reduction of nasal fracture (GA/LA), septal abscess/haematoma drainage, EUA nose & cautery (GA), inferior turbinate reduction, adenoidectomy.
