Preparing for the ST3 Urology interview can be challenging, which is why we’ve designed a bank of over 30 carefully developed scenarios that replicate the real process. Each case is written to reflect the style and structure of the stations you’ll face, giving you practical preparation that translates directly to interview performance.
Our team updates the bank annually to match the most recent interview format and ensure that all material remains relevant. Many of our contributors have successfully secured highly competitive posts themselves, and their insights are built into the guidance we provide.
The platform is easy to navigate, accessible from anywhere, and structured so that you can focus on the areas that will score you the most points.
For 2025, the interview will consist of four stations, each lasting 13 minutes with 2 minutes of reading time. These stations are mapped against the person specification, so you can be confident that your practice aligns with what the assessors are actually looking for.
Outpatients Station
You’ll practise clinic-style cases that focus on patient-centred care, with an emphasis on symptom presentation and safe management. Model answers and clear explanations demonstrate how to achieve top marks.
Emergency Station
Acute scenarios test how you respond under pressure. You’ll work through cases that evaluate your ability to prioritise, delegate, and work as part of a team. The bank highlights common emergency topics that frequently appear, so you can prepare with purpose.
Communication Station
Strong communication is essential in urology. Here you’ll practise scenarios such as breaking bad news, managing complaints, and discussing missed diagnoses. We provide worked examples, practical strategies, and scoring tips to help you demonstrate empathy and professionalism.
Clinical Skills
Practical assessment has become increasingly important in recent years. Our material walks you step-by-step through clinical scenarios, offering model answers and structured explanations so you can approach this station with confidence.
